Caitlin Williams, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
PSYPACT Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology
Agency Trainer (PCIT International)
Dr. Williams first discovered the joy and unpredictability of working with toddlers and their caregivers during her fourth year of graduate school on the Infant Mental Health rotation at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. From that year onward, Dr. Williams saw firsthand that PCIT really works, especially Internet-Based PCIT (I-PCIT), because caregivers can practice in their own homes, where skills will continue to be applied after the weekly therapy session is over.
Since becoming Associate Director of the University of Tennessee Psychological Clinic, Dr. Williams has continued to provide PCIT services, help train community clinicians in PCIT, as well as supervise advanced doctoral students completing PCIT training in the Clinic. She is passionate about being able to provide I-PCIT beyond the borders of Tennessee, to a wide range of kids and caregivers across the United States, who may not have access to in person therapy services in their area.
Dr. Williams is a Within-Agency PCIT Trainer and is a Certified Therapist by PCIT International
